Research equipment

The CICRP has at its disposal scientific equipment to carry out the analysis of various materials, especially from microsamples, and to study their properties:

  • A portable Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence (EDXRF) machine for in situ analyses of works
  • An X-ray diffractometer (XRD)
  • A Fourier Transform Infrared Spectrometer (FTIR) coupled with a microscope equipped with Ge ATR and in chemical imaging mode
  • A Raman microscope equipped with two lasers at 514 and 785 nm
  • Gas chromatography coupled with a quadripolar mass spectrometer and equipped with a pyrolyser and a direct insertion probe
  • Unit for thermal differential analysis, thermogravimetric analysis and differential calorimetric analysis
  • A polarising microscope and an upright fluorescence microscope
  • Field equipment (kit for measuring speed of sound, fissurrometers, thermohygrometers, pycnometer, UV meter, spectrocolorimeter, multispectral camera, thermal camera, etc.)
  • Weathering chambers (climatic, solar UV light, salt spray)
  • Studios for scientific photography and X-radiography (160kV), equipped with radioscopy
  • A petrophysical testing laboratory
  • A sample preparation workshop
  • A weathering platform
