Research

The CICRP pursues a research policy centred primarily on deterioration phenomena of heritage materials in its fields of expertise.

It participates in or leads French, international or European research programmes with other institutional partners and French public laboratories: the Museums of France Research and Restoration Centre (C2RMF), the Historic Monuments Research Laboratory (LRMH), the Centre for the Conservation of Collections (CRCC), the National Heritage Institute (INP), MAP-GAMSAU, CNRS, etc., as well as foreign ones (Centre d’Etudes Alexandrines, Getty, Chicago’s Conservation Center, etc.).

It benefits from substantial analysis and investigation equipment and stands as the most important public laboratory in the region dedicated to the research of heritage materials and works.
