Documentation center
Documentation ensures the reception, management, and conservation of scientific and technical information produced and acquired at CICRP in the fields of conservation and restoration of cultural property. It makes this documentation available to professionals, students, researchers, and facilitates access and dissemination.
Presentation
Documentation is developing a specialized collection (books, periodicals, articles, CD-ROM, DVD, etc.) which focuses on a few major areas:
- The history and legal framework of heritage areas: museums, historical monuments, archives, etc.
- The history of art in connection with the themes of study and intervention of CICRP
- Conservation and restoration: ethics, techniques, sciences applied to these fields
- Heritage techniques and materials
- Preventive conservation
On the other hand, the documentation preserves the memory of studies and interventions at CICRP, as well as the archives of scientific imagery.
Opening Hours and Access
The specificities of CICRP mean that access to its documentation center to the outside public is restricted and regulated.
The consultation room of the documentation center is open to the public by appointment only.
